It has higher mass and energy density than ordinary lithium batteries and is mainly used as an on-board battery for household electric vehicles, which can effectively reduce weight. At the same time, its platform voltage is very high, which means that under the same volume or weight, its specific energy and specific power are greater, which can ensure continuous power supply and reduce downtime. 1. Low output efficiency
The continuous discharge current can only reach 2C, and the discharge effect is best at 2C.
2. Fast capacity decay and short lifespan
At the same charge and discharge current, the battery is cycled from 0% to 100% each time. After 900 cycles, the capacity has decayed to 55%.
3. Poor security
The battery has an internal short circuit or an open flame when the positive electrode material encounters water. Even if the battery is protected by a steel shell, it still cannot withstand extreme shocks. And the temperature of it rises sharply after high-power charge and discharge, and it releases oxygen after high temperature, which is very easy to burn, so use it with care.
